Software Developer 

Status: Contract  
Location: Andover, MA (Headquarters) 

Position Overview:
Responsible for the specification, design and creation of new software products and the maintenance and enhancement of our existing product line. 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

·Designing, specifying and developing software applications

·These will include both front end interfaces and business logic components, and will be done using Microsoft .NET technologies.

·Responsible for acting as a technical consultant to other members of the organization in all areas of system and software design, providing detailed analysis, feedback, hands-on engineering, and general technical assistance as required.

·Responsible for maintaining the vision of the software product to ensure design decisions factor into the long term goals for the product while balancing the concerns for time to market, product quality, and end customer satisfaction.

·Responsible for staying current on the latest software and networking processes, tools, and methods, and for making recommendations on how these advances can be applied to the current products and engineering practices

·Will write internal and external documentation and specifications as required·Responsible for reporting progress against schedule for all assigned tasks on a regular basis

Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

·Minimum of 5 years of related experience, including prior experience in a commercial software development environment

·Enterprise class product-experience, and a track record building large scale web applications

·Hands-on development experience using C#, C++, VB.NET, ASP.NET, SOAP and web service creation (preferred

·Proven experience with Visual Basic, ASP, Transact-SQL, Crystal Reports, XML, XSL, and COM component creation in an n-Tier development environment

·Strong object oriented design skills and a track record of delivering OO designs to market
