As president of Amicore, Rich Noffsinger leverages the great strengths and resources of the company’s founding partners – Pfizer’s extensive knowledge of physician practice needs; IBM servers, system integration and ASP capabilities; and the versatility of Microsoft .NET software and mobile computing technologies -- to deliver world-class solutions that bring information to clinicians, anytime and anywhere.
Prior to Amicore, Mr. Noffsinger was the worldwide health care group manager for Microsoft, where he participated in the launching of Amicore, and served as a member of the Amicore board.
During his more than seven years at Microsoft, Mr. Noffsinger was responsible for directing the company’s strategy in the health care market, with special emphasis on insurance and government. Earlier responsibilities at Microsoft included developing strategic direction and marketing and developer relation activities in the knowledge management and document systems markets.
Mr. Noffsinger served on the board of directors of AIIM, (Association of Information and Image Management) from 1997 to 2000. He has 14 years of experience in the computer industry in a variety of capacities. He has written numerous articles for various publications and is a frequent speaker at industry tradeshows and events. Prior to joining Microsoft in 1996, he was director of sales and marketing for Metz Software.
